Chapels
Together with our patron Saint Nektarios, we also have our chapels in which we honor the Saints as co-ambassadors and protectors to all of us.
Downstairs in the Temple’s basement is Saint Filothei where daily Divine Liturgies are served.
In the northern aisle of the church we have Saint John the Hermit. A great Saint of our region, and a miracle maker.
In the south aisle we have Saint Nikon the Metanoeite who helped Christianity in Crete during the difficult years of Arab rule.
In the guest house we have two Athonite Saints:
a) Saint Athanasios the Athonite
b) Saint Gregory Palamas
Mother Superior Amfilochia had special reverence in Mount Athos, and in the guesthouse Athonite fathers were often accommodated. For this reason Athonite Saints were placed in the chapels.
In the camp of the children for the summer period we have:
a) Saint Kosmas the Aetolian
b) Saint Nicodemus the Hagiorite
