We celebrated again this year Saint John the Hermit. A Saint that is a great blessing for Christendom and especially here for Chania. The Holy Monastery of Gouverneto is the old monastery down on the way to the Cave, where the Saint was killed by a hunter, due to a horrible mistake. He lived for a while In Marathokefala, and in Azogyre in Paliochora where the whole escort lived after their passage from Gavdos. We honor Saint John in the north nave of our Temple, and we also have a small fragment of His Holy Relic. May the Saint be a blessing to all of us. May his mediations help and watch over us. And remind us that it is in the Church that we achieve our sanctification.
