A special blessing was the presence of the Bishop of Central Africa, Mr. Nikiforos who visited us and celebrated the Divine Liturgy on Sunday. He talked at the end of the Liturgy for the work of the Church in the great and vast continent of Africa.
His Eminence Nikiforos began his priestly career from Chania and in particular from our church as a deacon.
We were very happy that a clergyman, a laborer of our parish was elevated to the highest office of priesthood.
