The thought and attention of all of us turns to Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the world. We see His Passion be repeated in the liturgical time of our Church. The imprisonment, the arrest, the beating, the ridicule, the spitting, the crown of thorns, the crucifixion, the vinegar they gave Him, the spear that pierced Him and ultimately the death He savors to find Himself in Hades and to meet everyone being there and to rise them with Him in His resurrection.
We don’t just watch His passion, but we participate and try with Him to be crucified as well. Because we know very well that in order to face the Resurrection, we must first look at the Crucifixion as a fact and practice in our lives. Here in our parish with much reverence and attendance of our parishioners we went through the Holy Week.
We experienced one by one the events, and one next to another, we support each other in order to rise at the heights that the Church leads us. We exchanged our wishes, each seeking for the other one joy, health and all the best. We were singing together the “Christ is Risen!” with enthusiasm and a sense of His victory over death that the Risen Jesus Christ gives us. We have no other hope but in the Son and Word of God.
Christ is Risen! Truly, He is Risen! Live long!!!
